I cannot remember when I was first exposed to the idea that a plant could heal a human being, but there must have been a first time. Intuition must have operated in me strongly as a child, for it does with most children. I must have known inherently. I was fortunate enough to be able to play in a forest when I was a young boy. I climbed lots of trees, and would run around imagining myself the wizard or king of something, feeling empowered by nature.
I probably accepted it without much resistance when hearing the idea that herbs or plants could make a difference in my well-being. I bring this up because I am trying to get in touch with something other than the absolute conviction I have now that plants can utterly grow our health. I suppose I could learn by moving in different social circles the full range of opinion in such matters, discovering that there are those who either have no idea how such things could occur, or blindly reject them.
Green was introduced into the operating rooms to reduce eye fatigue! Therefore, the color green has been misused in the hospital healing arenas. When surgeons operate, they see a lot of blood, which is red, so when they look up, there is a green afterimage. To understand what an afterimage is, stare intensely at a red dot for about a minute, and then quickly look up. You will see the afterimage of green which is the complimentary color of red. As I reflect to being in the first or second grade, I could never remember the complimentary colors in art class, so I would stare and look up and “get” the answer! That was when I realized color could communicate!
Now it is easier to see where the miscommunication has taken place. So, what is the true color of healing? The answer is blue. When I see a client with a strong blue in his or her auric field, my first question is to ask if there was an injury in that area? If the answer is yes, then I am assured that the injury is healing. The body will absorb and take on the calming, cooling color of blue and use that energy to regenerate. In a sense it is because (or what I believe is taking place) the cells are communicating or talking with each other to build up the site to its full potential. Blue is also the color of communication and opportunity, and I believe it is this cell communication process which helps create healing within our own systems, which in a sense, gives our body the opportunity to heal.
Part of the reason this is the case, is because there is not a whole lot of supporting material for why and how herbal remedies work. It is chalked up as magic or witchcraft or whatever because we have yet to deeply explore what is going on when an herb heals. The purpose of this article is to change that. I, for one, believe that knowing how it works can only help it to work. Not only this, but once the healing process is understood, it can be easier to recognize the process in other healing practices that may still seem a little far-fetched.
Okay, so what is it that is actually going on when human beings are healed through herbal therapies? It stems (no pun intended) from what we have in common. Life has its building blocks, and they are present in both plants and ourselves. As we explore the kingdoms and species that exist in our world, we find that the simpler kingdoms (in terms of complexity) may indeed have less freedom of expression, but there exists a purity there that cannot be matched.

If you have a chronic dis-ease, particularly an inflammatory dis-ease, you may wish to consider the color choices of your bedroom. Again, color is energy and you are energy. Walking into a cooling, soothing environment and sleeping in a cooling, soothing environment can be extremely healing and beneficial to your physical and emotional well-being. BUT, the color itself, not just the characteristics of the colors (blue is soothing, calming etc…) The COLOR allows your body to absorb the healing qualities of that particular hue.
Businesses which are in the category of healing, communication or provide opportunities to others will do well to have the color blue in some prominent position within their branding. This practice gives another example of the power of color and shows how environment provides a supporting role for non-verbal communication. Blue will support their ideals and attract the correct energy to their company.
Perhaps you will now be inspired to include more of the color blue in your life!
